Scope of activities

The Legal Department prepares and agrees draft governmental documents, the scope of which lies within the competences of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector and is listed as one of its tasks, as well as other governmental documents, the preparation of which was entrusted to the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector by the Minister of Health. It gives opinions, in cooperation with organizational units, on formal and legal aspects of normative acts sent by the Members of the Council of Ministers. The Department’s responsibilities include also supervising advertisements of medicinal products for human use. Moreover, the Legal Department carries out activities and coordinates responses to queries and interpellations of Members of Parliament and senators as well as appearances of the Human Rights Defender. The Department also manages affairs related to European Integration within the scope of activities of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate, which include activities undertaken by the organizational units of the Inspectorate and representation of the Polish stance within the scope of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate’s competences in the EU institutions.
